Forensic Investigations
When what happened is known but the why or how is the question, we can find answers. A structural failure could be a design or construction defect, caused by misuse, or perhaps a result of storm-related damage. Identifying the cause as wind, flood or rain could mean the damage may be covered by insurance.
In a recent investigation, Lockatong Engineering was able to prove that while a stone veneer was weakened by poor construction initially, the catastrophic failure was the result of wind suction pressure. Conclusion: Insurance payment to the client. Case closed.
