Lockatong Engineering President Speaking to Homeowner Leaders

Robert N. Roop, P.E., President of Lockatong Engineering will be speaking at the 2019 Homeowner Leader Best Practices Roundtable Discussion and Cocktail Reception.  The event will be held on September 12, 2019, at the Buona Sera Restaurant in Red Bank, NJ, as part of the New Jersey Chapter of the Community Association Institute (CAI-NJ) Continuing Education Program.

The event will feature six roundtable topics, with a professional from various industries leading each discussion.  Mr. Roop will head one of the Roundtables:  Construction Management and Monitoring.  The discussion will focus on how crucial management and monitoring of a project is to ensure that the construction work being performed is completed according to plans and that it meet the expectations of the community association.

Other discussions will include bylaw amendments under Radburn; new board member training; asphalt surfaces; mold contamination and water damage; and indemnity insurance.

Founder and president Robert Roop oversees all engineering investigations for Lockatong Engineering. A Professional Engineer, he is licensed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, Vermont, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Minnesota. He is also board-certified by the Building Inspection Engineers Certification Institute (BIECI) under the National Academy of Building Inspection Engineers (NABIE).  His over four decades’ experience includes several years on professional engineering staffs at firms in the U.S. and overseas before establishing his firm in Stockton, NJ in 2001.  Roop earned his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from Tufts University and his master’s in environmental engineering from Villanova University.  In addition to being a member of CAI-NJ and NABIE, he maintains participatory memberships in National Society of Professional Engineers, Healthcare Facility Management Society of New Jersey, American Society for Healthcare Engineering, American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, National Fire Protection Association and National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. Mr. Roop also conducts construction dispute resolution arbitrations.
