Robert N. Roop, P.E., Certified as Arbitrator for Construction Disputes

Robert N. Roop, P.E., President of Lockatong Engineering, has been added to the CDRS National Panel of Construction Dispute Specialists.  Mr. Roop will act as a Certified Arbitrator in disputes dealing with construction defects.

“With over 47 years’ experience, I have conducted many hundreds of residential and building inspections for construction defects, deterioration and faulty maintenance,” says Mr. Roop.  “Evaluation of the building envelope for water tightness and proper ventilation is especially important because defects in envelope easily lead to rot, structural damage and poor indoor air quality.”

Because of his expertise in dealing with building defects, many construction defect remediation design projects employ Mr. Roop to perform construction monitoring to confirm the remediation design is faithfully executed.  He has also worked as an expert in evaluating warranty claims for construction defects, and for a short time in the construction industry.
